I've got five essentially mainstream libertarian novels on my reading list: one by Henry Hazlitt, the other four by Garet Garrett. The Mises Institute has all five for sale in its store.

Time Will Run Back, by Henry Hazlitt - A novel about the rediscovery of capitalism in a dystopian future. This could possibly be classified loosely as science fiction.

And by Garet Garrett - three novels about the market and politics, one about an American experiment in socialism:

The Driver - With its main character named Henry Galt and the question "Who is Henry Galt?" being a persistent one in the novel, it seems likely to have influenced Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

The Cinder Buggy: A Fable in Iron and Steel

Satan's Bushel

Harangue (The Trees Said to the Bramble Come Reign Over Us)

Has anyone here read any of these? If you have, can you give us your impressions? Maybe post a formal review?
